exhibit at Hampton Library at Oak Hill

Many many thanks to the staff at the Hampton Library at Oak Hill of the Austin Public Library system, where some of my work (15 pieces) is currently on display.

These fifteen works include two landscapes that reflect travels to West Texas and the Northeastern US, one pseudo-abstract poem illustration, and another that illustrates a vision inspired by a day in Andalusia, Spain during a trip to Europe many years ago. The remaining eleven are from the Austin Illustrated Calendar project. The statement for this showing, and the abstract piece both owe a great deal to Wassily Kandinsky, probably my favorite painter-philosopher-metaphysician over the last 15 years.
